For centuries, humans have used beads for many different purposes. Primarily, beads were used as currency, traded for much needed supplies along a trade route. Beads were woven into clothing as a display of wealth. More recently, beads were manufactured from materials that were readily available, such as plastic, tin, aluminum, (and, at one time), leaded glass. Now, glass has become refined, remixed, and even more beautiful. Glass is capable of mimicking stone, semiprecious gems, and metals with the inclusion of precious minerals such as silver and gold. At Gothic Glass, we delight in presenting the beauty of glass in our selection of eclectic wearable art.
